JOB SUMMARY

To support our continued growth and success, QA Consultants(QAC) is looking to hire a Sr. Consultant, Professional Services.
The ideal candidate for the Senior Consultant role will be expected to demonstrate a solid understanding of software quality assurance and release management methodologies, processes, tools and related technologies, based on traditional waterfall SDLC - based approaches, test driven development and agile/iterative development methods.
Travel: Must be willing and able to travel across Canada and the United States


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


• Understand the customer needs and provide QAC Solutions to best fit the need.
• Conduct QA and Testing Maturity Assessments, document and present findings.
• Present QAC Test Factory and Professional Services solutions.
• Build and present customized demonstrations of QAC offerings.
• Interface with the QAC marketing team to share customer insights.
• Articulate and share reference customer stories in the context of a prospect’s requirements.
• Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management.
• Engage, as necessary, as a senior QAC representation to customer engagements, working directly with the client and guiding project management and account service roles.
• Assist in evolving the Professional Services strategy and discipline within QAC.
• In conjunction with Sales and Delivery, expand client engagements and revenue opportunities.


SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Information Technology and 8 -10+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
• 10+ years of Testing and Quality Assurance experience.
• 5+ years of QA solutions experience in a professional services environment.
• 5+ years of technology consulting experience with a demonstrated track record of building strong client relationships.
• 5+ years of solution architecture experience in both large market as well as mid-market and/or small business/start-up settings.


Skills & Abilities


• Thorough understanding of consulting and different professional services engagement models
• Energetic, detail oriented, self-directed and super motivated with high personal integrity
• Knowledge and experience with different test management and test automation tools
• Knowledge of different functional and non-functional testing practices
• Knowledge and experience with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies

Technical Skills:

• SQL/SOAP UI
• JAVA / J2EE
• Oracle / DB2
• HP ALM, JIRA
• Business intelligence reporting and analytic tools
• Experience with applications supporting the retail, automotive, telecom, banking and insurance industry

Certifications: CSTE/CSTA, PMP, ITIL

Work Experience:
o 10+ years’ experience, preferably with software products or web-based applications.
o Previous experience working in a Quality Assurance & Release Manager role.
o Experience with issue-tracking software and test management tools.
o Demonstrated experience in testing complex projects with multiple components and interfaces.
o Proven knowledge of different phases of STLC, SDLC, Project, and Testing Methodologies.
o Experience with different software quality and testing methodologies
o Experience with manual and automated testing.
o Experience with one or more of the following: C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, SQL Server and SOAP UI.
